Goto Tsubaki Distillery Releases Limited-Edition "GOTOGIN Yurameku Katachi" Gin Series in Collaboration With Illustrator Miroco Machiko

Goto Tsubaki Distillery Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Kunihiko Kadota, Head Office: Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture) will release a limited quantity of collaboration bottles (three types in total) with Amami Oshima-based painter and picture-book author Miroco Machiko, rolling out successively from Thursday, July 23, 2026.

This collaboration features three label designs by Miroco Machiko depicting the scenery of Goto, each paired with a specially blended selection of botanicals matching its distinct atmosphere, resulting in three limited-edition gins.

The first release, "GOTOGIN Yurameku Katachi — Ibitsuna Hatake," launches on Thursday, July 23. The second release, "GOTOGIN Yurameku Katachi — Tsubaki no Kara," and the third release, "GOTOGIN Yurameku Katachi — Kibinago Ichiya-boshi," will follow in turn starting this fall.

With products offering aromas and flavors never seen before, Goto Tsubaki Distillery continues to expand its base of craft gin fans.

  • The label depicts a "maruhata" (円畑, circular field), a distinctive field shape found in parts of Goto. These fields are said to have taken their unique round form because farmers cleared camellia groves and plowed the land in a circle around a central stake, guiding cattle around it.
  • In addition to the standard 18 botanicals, five Goto-grown ingredients — green bell pepper, cucumber, organic green tea, thyme, and Japanese wild mint — were added for a total of 23 botanicals, expressing the vivid green of the island's circular fields.
  • The gift box is also a dedicated design created by Miroco Machiko.
