Goto Tsubaki Distillery Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Kunihiko Kadota, Head Office: Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture) is releasing a limited quantity of "GOTOGIN Yurameku Katachi — Tsubaki no Kara," the second entry in its collaboration series with Amami Oshima-based painter and picture-book author Miroco Machiko, from Monday, September 28, 2026.
The "GOTOGIN Yurameku Katachi" series pairs three label designs by Miroco Machiko depicting the scenery of Goto with specially blended botanicals matching each design's distinct atmosphere, resulting in three limited-edition gins.
With products offering aromas and flavors never seen before, Goto Tsubaki Distillery continues to expand its base of craft gin fans.

Following the release date, the product is also planned to be available at select department stores and liquor retailers.
Product Features:
- A limited-quantity product featuring botanicals blended to match the "Tsubaki no Kara" ("camellia shell") label, an original design drawn by Miroco Machiko and inspired by the nature of Goto.
- The label depicts the outer shells of Yabu camellia seeds, which grow abundantly across Goto, bursting open and scattering across the ground as the seeds fall from autumn into winter.
- In addition to the standard 18 botanicals, five ingredients — porcini mushroom, prune, raisin, star anise, and cranberry — were added for a total of 23 botanicals. The angelica typically used has also been roasted in two ways, light and dark, to add depth to the flavor.
- The gin expresses Goto's richly bountiful autumn hills and fields through an aroma reminiscent of an autumn sunset — layering deep, dark fruit with tart, juicy red fruit and a sweet, spicy scent — alongside deep umami and toasty notes evoking earth, fallen leaves, and the stirrings of plants and animals.
- The gift box is also a dedicated design created by Miroco Machiko.
The third release in the series, "Kibinago Ichiya-boshi," is planned for around spring 2027, with details to be announced on the official online shop and official Instagram account (@goto_gin).
About Miroco Machiko
A painter who depicts living creatures with a free, expansive style, Miroco Machiko has held solo exhibitions both in Japan and abroad. Her picture book The Day the Wolf Flies (Ōkami ga Tobu Hi, East Press) won the Grand Prize at the 18th Japan Picture Book Awards. At the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB), Me and Yellow (Ore to Kiiro, WAVE Publishing) received the Golden Apple Award, and Kemono no Nioi ga Shite Kita zo (Iwasaki Shoten) received a Golden Plaque. She has received numerous other awards and published many books, including the 41st Iwaya Sazanami Literary Award. She has also created cover art for books and CDs as well as posters. Since 2020, her exhibition "Ikimono-tachi wa Watashi no Kagami" ("Creatures Are My Mirror") has toured art museums nationwide. Feeling a close connection to the movements of nature, she creates works imbued with the presence of the unseen and the flicker of life.
