A new digital stamp rally is coming to Yokohama this summer. GreenSnap, the company behind the plant community app of the same name, is launching "Hanamiru Stamp Rally Summer" on July 6, 2026 (Monday), built on its own "Sumapeta" digital stamp rally platform and held as a companion program to the City of Yokohama's "Garden Necklace Yokohama 2026."
About "Hanamiru Stamp Rally Summer"
Hanamiru Stamp Rally Summer invites participants to visit six spots around Yokohama, including Yamashita Park, along with two events held during the summer.
The rally runs on "Sumapeta," GreenSnap's digital stamp rally system. No dedicated app needs to be installed — participants can check in at each spot and take part in photo missions directly from their smartphone browser, making it an easy, casual way to join.
As a new addition this year, the rally adds missions to photograph Yokohama's nighttime spots alongside its existing daytime flower and greenery missions, letting participants enjoy a cool evening stroll through the city while discovering its after-dark charm.
Event Overview
Period: July 6, 2026 (Monday) to August 31, 2026 (Monday)
Target spots: Six locations across Yokohama, including Yamashita Park, plus two summer events
Participation: Hanamiru Stamp Rally Summer
Background
The City of Yokohama promotes "Garden Necklace Yokohama," an initiative to build a cityscape rich in flowers and greenery. In March this year, GreenSnap held the first "Hanamiru Stamp Rally" as a related program. Over the course of that event, a total of 4,642 people took part, participants collected 11,501 stamps in all, and 5,202 photos were posted for the photo missions, drawing strong interest in exploring Yokohama's flowers.
Building on that response, GreenSnap decided not to let the Yokohama walking event end as a one-off program, and is instead holding Hanamiru Stamp Rally Summer so it can be enjoyed continuously across the seasons.
Prizes
Participants who collect a set number of stamps will receive a limited-edition digital sticker of "Garden Bear," the mascot character of Garden Necklace Yokohama, continuing from the spring edition. A lottery also offers prizes with a distinctly Yokohama flavor, including a retort gourmet set supervised by Hotel New Grand, tickets to the immersive experience facility "Wandaria Yokohama" near JR Kannai Station, and Garden Bear merchandise.
Looking Ahead
Through the seasonal "Hanamiru Stamp Rally," GreenSnap aims to let participants enjoy exploring Yokohama on foot while sharing the appeal of the city's flowers, greenery, and nighttime spots. The company plans to keep expanding experience-based initiatives that combine plants with digital technology together with regions across Japan, contributing to the growth of the floriculture and horticulture industry.
