Yokohama's "Flower Jack Journey" Kicks Off with Flower-Decorated Bay Cruises This Spring

A new city-wide floral promotion called "Flower Jack Journey" is getting underway in Yokohama, organized by the Yokohama Tourism Association as part of its "Hana no Minato" (Flower Port) tourism branding initiative. The campaign aims to fill the port city with flower experiences throughout the year, while also building momentum ahead of the GREEN×EXPO 2027 (2027 International Horticultural Exposition), which is scheduled to be held in Yokohama.

Kicking off the series, a flower-decorated cruise ship called "Kanamoe," operated by Keihin Ferryboat Co., Ltd., will carry passengers through the Minato Mirai bay area in a lineup of spring "Flower Cruise" events. The series also includes a pop-up appearance of the mobile flower-themed tourism information center "YOKOHAMA FLOWER BASE" at a major garden festival in May.

The arrangement is designed to tell the story behind the flowers and the connection to Okinoerabu Island, while reflecting the overall "Hana no Minato" concept.

Visitors who follow the Yokohama Tourism Association's official SNS account at the booth will receive a lavender cookie by "Ron Marron by DOERI," available to the first 50 visitors per day.
