A joint exhibition celebrating two landmark original anime series, Guilty Crown and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, is coming to Tokyo's Ginza Mirai Museum. The "Guilty Crown x Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress Exhibition," organized by the Guilty Crown x Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress Exhibition Executive Committee, runs from Friday, October 30 through Monday, November 23, 2026 (a public holiday).
Ahead of the exhibition, advance lottery sales for regular admission tickets and a limited "admission ticket with goods" open through Lawson Ticket starting at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2026.
Key Visual Revealed
A key visual has been unveiled showing Guilty Crown's Inori Yuzuriha and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress's Mumei crossing paths, each wearing the other's costume — a special image created just for this exhibition.
A second visual has also been revealed, paired with the catchphrase "The 15-year and 10-year journeys that once stirred our hearts, that day." It shows Inori and Mumei in formal attire, evoking a celebration of Guilty Crown's 15th broadcast anniversary and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress's 10th broadcast anniversary. Merchandise using this illustration is also planned, with further details to be announced.

Guilty Crown, broadcast in 2011, became a social phenomenon with its striking visual beauty and music. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress followed in 2016, overwhelming viewers with its dynamic energy and richly detailed world.
Both works left a strong mark on anime history and continue to enjoy dedicated fandoms today, and the joint exhibition bringing them together has now been confirmed.
The exhibition features valuable original artwork and setting materials that colored numerous iconic scenes, recreating spaces that dynamically express each work's distinctive world. It offers a look behind the scenes at the passion poured in by director Tetsuro Araki and the creators at the production studios.
Visitors are invited to fully enjoy the bonds and lineage woven by these two stories, whose appeal remains undimmed years after they first aired.

About the Works
Guilty Crown
Broadcast in 2011 on Fuji TV's "noitaminA" programming block, this original TV anime was produced by Production I.G. It portrays the harsh fate of Shu Ouma, a boy forced to "fight using his friends as weapons," in a sci-fi battle action story rendered with striking visual density.
Story: In 2029, the sudden outbreak of the "Apocalypse Virus" throws Japan into chaos. Following a military intervention by the multinational body GHQ, the country loses its standing as an independent nation, and its people live under a fragile peace within a self-government that exists in name only.
Ten years later, in 2039, Shu Ouma, a gloomy high school student at Tennouzu Daiichi High School, meets Inori Yuzuriha, an idol singer he admires. She turns out to be a member of Funeral Parlor, a resistance group calling for Japan's liberation from GHQ.
Guided by Inori and the group's leader, Gai Tsutsugami, Shu is drawn into the fight. A power awakens in his right hand that lets him draw objects from people's bodies and wield them as weapons — the "King's Right." It marks the beginning of the story of the "Crown of Guilt" he now bears...
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
Released in 2016 by WIT STUDIO, this series stands as the pinnacle of "wafu steampunk," blending steam engine technology with a fusion of Japanese and Western design. Under the despair of a world overrun by the monstrous Kabane, it vividly portrays the fight of Ikoma and others who resist with pride, driven by director Tetsuro Araki's explosive direction and Haruhiko Mikimoto's aesthetic character art. Resonating with Hiroyuki Sawano's sweeping score, it redefined the kind of overwhelming visual experience that moves an audience's soul.
Story: As the industrial revolution swept the world, immortal monsters called Kabane suddenly appeared. Unless their iron-clad hearts are pierced, they cannot be destroyed. To survive, the people of Hinomoto built fortified "stations" and traveled between them aboard armored steam locomotives known as Hayajiro.
Ikoma, a young steam blacksmith living at Aragane Station, has been developing his own weapon to defeat the Kabane — the Tsuranuki-zutsu — while waiting for his chance. One night, a runaway Hayajiro crashes into the station, and Aragane Station is overrun by Kabane. Fighting against the tide of fleeing people, Ikoma runs forward: "This time, I won't run. I'll defeat the Kabane with my own Tsuranuki-zutsu!" The battle to become a truly shining man begins now.
