Hakone Emoa Terrace by Onko Chishin (箱根エモア・テラス by 温故知新) in Sengokuhara, Hakone, is offering group meal plans to coincide with the autumn foliage season. The lineup includes a limited-time sweets plan featuring autumn flavors, as well as a limited breakfast in the classic "Orient Express" salon car, whose interior was designed by René Lalique in 1928, reserved exclusively for the group. Guests can also visit the adjoining Hakone Lalique Museum during their stay.
Autumn Sweets Plan (Group Plan)
This limited-time sweets plan gathers flavors of the harvest season and is served with black tea inside Hakone Emoa Terrace. It is available only in October and November.

Orient Express Breakfast "Le Train" (ル・トラン) (Group Plan)
During hours when the Orient Express car is not normally open, groups can reserve the entire car for a special morning meal. Surrounded by the stately decor of the salon car, whose interior René Lalique designed in 1928, the plan offers an elegant start to a day of travel.

- Serving time: 9:00 AM to 9:40 AM. When there are two seatings: (1) from 8:30 AM, (2) from 9:30 AM (40 minutes each)
- Menu: Open-faced croque monsieur, cut fruit, salad, boiled egg, yogurt with honey, coffee or black tea
- Capacity: Up to 24 guests per seating (minimum guarantee of 10 guests)

Autumn Colors and Pampas Grass Around Sengokuhara
Sengokuhara, where Hakone Emoa Terrace is located, is an area where both autumn foliage and pampas grass can be enjoyed at once. Typically from early October to early November, the surrounding mountains take on their autumn colors and the Sengokuhara Plateau is covered in silvery pampas grass. On November 3 (Culture Day) each year, the "Hakone Daimyo Procession" (箱根大名行列), a reenactment of an Edo-period daimyo procession, is held in the Hakone Yumoto area, adding color to the autumn excursion season across Hakone.

French Jewelry and Glass Art at the Hakone Lalique Museum
The adjoining Hakone Lalique Museum presents the works of René Lalique, a French jewelry and glass artist who lived through the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. Visitors can take their time viewing delicate glasswork and a garden that changes with the seasons, in a space where nature and art resonate with each other. The special exhibition "The 'Kawaii' Cultural Exchange Between Japan and France as Seen Through René Lalique" is currently on view through Sunday, December 6, 2026.

Hakone Emoa Terrace is a complex adjoining the Hakone Lalique Museum, with a restaurant, cafe, and patisserie. The casual French restaurant "Restaurant Emoa," which features green terrace seats beyond large windows, serves a semi-buffet lunch set with a choice of main dish, plus salad, deli, and sweets. A "Jewelry Sweets Buffet" styled like works of art is also available. "Emoa patisserie," a grocery shop for handmade sweets, offers takeout. In the classic salon car "Orient Express," whose interior Lalique designed in 1928, guests can enjoy a relaxed tea time inside the train car.
