Hakone Hotel Kowakien, located at 1297 Ninotaira, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture, offers hot springs, nature, and dining for the whole family, and is a place where even guests with babies or small children can stay with peace of mind. In autumn 2027, the hotel plans to add guest rooms with semi-open-air hot spring baths.
The new rooms are designed for families with small children, visitors from overseas, and anyone who wants to enjoy a hot spring in a private space. Guests can relax in a hot spring bath in their own room while looking out over Hakone's outer rim mountains.

Hakone Hotel Kowakien ended its roughly 60-year history in 2018. After being rebuilt, it newly opened in July 2023 as a multi-experience resort facility.
To coincide with the addition of the new rooms, the hotel's buffet restaurant, Fontainebleau, has been expanded and now has new garden-side seats. Guests can enjoy their meals while looking out over a spacious Japanese garden through large windows that create an open feel.
Hotel guests can also use the neighboring Hakone Kowakien Yunessun free of charge during their stay. Seasonal events and a festival-stall corner, where visitors can try ring toss, shooting games, and gemstone scooping, are also available, so the whole family can enjoy their stay together.
Details on how to reserve the new rooms and the start date of sales will be announced as information becomes available.
