About 100 Flowering Dogwood Trees Near Hankyu Takatsuki City Station Are in Full Bloom

"Hankyu Mizuki-dori" (Hankyu Mizuki Street), a road stretching 600 meters east to west in front of Hankyu Takatsuki City Station, is lined with approximately 100 flowering dogwood trees. With the arrival of spring warmth, red and white blossoms have burst open, filling the air with a gentle fragrance for everyone walking along the street.

The name "Hankyu Mizuki-dori" was chosen through a public naming campaign organized by the city to give the Hankyu North Side Road (市道 阪急北側線) a more familiar feel. The name was officially decided in 1992. Following the naming, approximately 100 red and white flowering dogwood trees were planted as street trees to suit the new name.

Each year when the trees reach their peak bloom, many visitors stop to look up at the blossoms or take photographs, and the street is well known as a spot where the arrival of spring in Takatsuki City can be felt.
