The flagship store of HealthyTOKYO, a Japanese wellness brand founded in 2011, at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku "Harakado" will reopen on Saturday, October 17, 2026 with a new "urban wellness" concept. The store brings natural and plant-derived food, wellness products, and bath and body care together in one place, all made in Japan, offering a fresh take on wellness from Harajuku.
The highlight of the renewal is PLANT FARM, a baked goods brand that uses domestic rice flour. Until now, some PLANT FARM products have been sold in limited quantities at luxury hotels and premium retailers. Harakado is the first place where the brand's full lineup, including muffins and cookies, can be found in a single location.
Urban Wellness for Every Moment of the Day
Urban wellness means the small, natural moments that bring comfort to busy city life: time spent enjoying good food, time for yourself, and time to unwind at the end of the day. The renewed store is organized around these moments.
- Eat Well: PLANT FARM's domestic rice flour muffins, cookies, gluten-free lasagna, and more
- Feel Well: For everyday self-care, including HealthyTOKYO's made-in-Japan CBD oil and gummies
- Care Well: Botanical bath and body care, hair care, and hand care
The store also carries wellness items for pets and gift sets. It is designed for everyone who enjoys Harajuku, from locals and families to visitors from around the world.
PLANT FARM: Deliciousness Comes First
PLANT FARM combines Japanese craftsmanship with natural ingredients to make baked goods that can be shared by everyone. The goal is natural, delicious Japanese food that suits any table.
It starts with domestic rice flour. Rice has long been at the center of Japanese food culture. PLANT FARM uses rice flour made from domestic rice as the base of every recipe. Its light, moist texture and gentle flavor bring out the character of the other ingredients, which include carefully selected organic and other natural ingredients. No artificial colors, artificial flavors, or preservatives are used. All products are made in a dedicated gluten-free, plant-based kitchen and are halal-friendly.
Still, the brand says these features are not the main reason to choose PLANT FARM. The reason is how good the food tastes, which is why people of all ages, nationalities, food cultures, and lifestyles can enjoy it at the same table. At Harakado, the full PLANT FARM lineup is available, including rice flour muffins offered daily in the store showcase, cookies, savory "umami otsumami" snacks, and gluten-free lasagna.

Note: Products and flavors are subject to change. For allergy information, please check the label on each product.
Celebrating the Start of the New Rice Season
October 17 is Kanname-sai, a long-cherished Japanese day for giving thanks for the year's newly harvested rice. On this day at Ise Jingu Shrine, newly harvested rice from that year is offered. It is said that people in the past would eat the new rice only after completing this ceremony of thanks.
The day before, October 16, is World Food Day. The wish that delicious food be something everyone can share is also the starting point of PLANT FARM, which aims to make sweets that people can enjoy at the same table regardless of age, culture, or dietary differences.
PLANT FARM's baked goods are built on rice flour made from domestic rice. The brand chose to reopen the Harakado store on October 17, as the new rice season begins, as a fitting start for presenting the new deliciousness that Japanese rice can create: muffins, cookies, and umami snacks that everyone can enjoy together despite differences in diet.
This also ties into the concept of the whole store, "urban wellness," which is everyday wellness that begins with gratitude for the natural bounty nurtured in Japan.
Botanical Bath and Body Care From Kosmic Alchemy
For the "Care Well" category, the botanical brand Kosmic Alchemy, made in Minamiboso, Chiba Prefecture, joins the lineup for the first time. The brand offers bath and body care, hair care, hand care, and aromatherapy products using organic essential oils and plant-derived ingredients.
A Word From the President
"HealthyTOKYO has spent 15 years working to bring natural and plant-derived wellness into everyday life in Japan. With this renewal, we wanted to create a place where more options for feeling comfortable in the city are available. The most natural entry point is food. PLANT FARM is a brand that shares exactly that idea. It starts with domestic rice flour and, above all, it is delicious. You don't need to know it's gluten-free. We hope children and adults, Japanese and non-Japanese alike, will all look at the same muffin and think, 'That looks delicious.'
If you take a bite and say, 'This is delicious,' that is the happiest thing for us. That is what we think of as urban wellness, and we look forward to offering that experience in Harajuku."

Michael Bobrove, Representative Director and President
