Hotel Granvia Osaka (3-1-1 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka) will begin taking Christmas cake reservations on November 1 (Sunday), 2026, at the 19th-floor lounge "River Head." This year's lineup includes an assortment of three petit cakes presented as a story, along with two kinds of stollen with different flavors.
The annual petit cake assortment "Christmas Story" is themed around Santa getting ready for Christmas. The strawberry shortcake shaped like Santa's red glove is finished with rich fresh cream and a melt-in-the-mouth sponge for a light taste. The tiramisu depicts Santa taking a break in front of the night view reflected in a coffee cup, and it contains no alcohol, so children can enjoy it too. The matcha Mont Blanc forms a festive Christmas tree, offering the rich flavor of matcha and a different texture in every bite.
This year, the hotel is also selling two kinds of stollen. "Stollen Classical – Rum and Fir Tree Aroma –" combines raisins and figs, scented with a house-blended spice mix and rum, with the woody aroma of "fir tree liqueur" for a Christmas feel. "Stollen Modern – Apple and Black Tea –" is an elegant, fruity stollen with the aroma of Aomori Prefecture apples and black tea. Besides takeout, the lounge and bar offer sets for comparing the two stollen.

1. Santa and Reindeer's Coffee Cup (Tiramisu)
This tiramisu contains no alcohol, so children can enjoy it too. A crunchy chocolate cookie adds an accent to the smooth tiramisu. The cake depicts Santa taking a break while looking out over the night cityscape.
2. Santa's Gloves (Shortcake)
A strawberry shortcake with a sponge that melts softly in the mouth, paired with fresh cream. The cream comes from the Konsen region of Hokkaido, giving the cake a rich yet light taste. It depicts Santa putting on gloves to start his preparations.
3. Santa's Sparkling Christmas Tree (Matcha Mont Blanc)
A Mont Blanc that lets you enjoy the rich flavor of matcha. Matcha financier and mousse are layered with custard cream and fresh cream, so each bite has a different texture. A decorated tree and present-shaped ornaments add to the Christmas mood.
