The Lobby Lounge on the 1st floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka (2-5-25 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City; General Manager: Mark Neukom) is serving a collaboration afternoon tea with the British luxury brand Burberry Beauty, featuring its new fragrance Burberry Goddess Amber Vanilla Eau de Parfum Intense.
Inspired by the world of the new fragrance, the promotion runs in two parts: the "Autumn Afternoon Tea with Burberry Beauty" from October 15 (Thursday) to November 12 (Thursday), 2026, and the "Christmas Afternoon Tea with Burberry Beauty" from November 13 (Friday) to December 27 (Sunday). Sweets and savories express the enchanting, warm scent of Burberry Goddess Amber Vanilla Eau de Parfum Intense, offering an elegant and glamorous tea time.
The interior of The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka is unified in the Georgian style, an architectural style that developed in Britain in the 18th century. About 450 paintings and works of art, mainly antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries, are displayed throughout the hotel, evoking the residence of a British aristocrat. The Lobby Lounge follows the same style, so guests can enjoy afternoon tea in an elegant atmosphere.
Founded in Britain in 1856, Burberry has earned a global reputation with a style that blends tradition and a modern sensibility while carrying on the innovative spirit of its founder, Thomas Burberry, and is known as an icon of British luxury loved across the ages. Burberry Beauty carries on that rich heritage and craftsmanship, offering fragrance and makeup collections that let each person express who they are and bring out a confident beauty.
The theme of this afternoon tea is the warm, enchanting world of scent portrayed by Burberry Goddess Amber Vanilla Eau de Parfum Intense, which went on sale on September 23. It is the first fragrance in the Burberry Goddess collection to use roasted vanilla. Roasted vanilla is layered over vanilla caviar, vanilla infusion, and vanilla absolute extracted from premium hand-picked vanilla, expressing a dense and deep scent. It opens with lavender essence and a maple syrup accord, four types of vanilla play a rich harmony, and an amber accord at the end leaves a warm, refined lingering note. It is an appealing scent that draws out inner strength and confidence.
Centered on vanilla, the signature note, the sweets and savories express the depth of scent woven by lavender and amber. Along with sweets made with ingredients that color autumn and winter, such as chestnut, vanilla, hazelnut, maple, and apple, there are refined savories made with truffle, abalone, and lily bulb. With a variety of flavors reminiscent of layers of fragrance, guests can enjoy the elegant world that Burberry Beauty envisions.
"Christmas Afternoon Tea with Burberry Beauty" at The Lobby Lounge (1F)
The six sweets were created by Executive Pastry Chef Frédéric Moreau. The one bearing the Burberry logo is the "Hazelnut and Cocoa Cookie with White Coffee Mousse," which brings out the toasty aroma of hazelnut. The lineup also includes the "Chestnut Mont Blanc with Vanilla Chantilly," woven from fragrant vanilla and chestnut; the "Pistachio Mousse with Cassis and Strawberry Jelly," in which the rich flavor of pistachio harmonizes with the tartness of cassis; the "Smooth Dark Chocolate Mousse with Maple Panna Cotta," a rich pairing of maple and dark chocolate; and the "Caramel Custard with Cinnamon-Flavored Apple Compote," in which apple, caramel, and vanilla layer together.
Two kinds of scones are available: the "Caramelized White Chocolate Scone," with the toasty flavor of caramelized white chocolate, and the "Plain Scone," with a traditional British taste. They come with condiments of "Fragrant Lavender-Flavored Lemon Curd," in which the floral aroma of lavender harmonizes with the refreshing tartness of lemon, and rich, smooth clotted cream, to be combined as you like. Scone refills are brought warm to your seat by the staff, and you can have as many as you like.
The four savories, by Banquet Chef Katayama, use ingredients that are in season in winter. Starting with the "Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Rye Bread Sandwich," the lineup includes a salad of steamed abalone and lily bulb finished with consommé jelly and balsamic pearls, a pairing of the natural sweetness of sweet potato with orange-scented smoked duck, and a quiche that captures the aroma of truffle.
This time, in addition to the "Afternoon Tea with Burberry Beauty," the "Afternoon Tea with Burberry Beauty (with Fragrance Miniature Sample)," which comes with a Burberry Goddess Collection fragrance miniature sample (5 mL), is available. Guests can choose from three options, including "The Ritz-Carlton Signature Afternoon Tea," which comes with a glass of Champagne and a macaron gift.
During the period, a photo spot displaying Burberry Goddess Amber Vanilla Eau de Parfum Intense is also set up. Together with the world of the Burberry Goddess fragrance, it adds a glamorous touch to the holiday season.
At The Lobby Lounge, where a Georgian-style space born in Britain and live piano music offer an experience far from the everyday, this collaboration with Burberry Beauty is an afternoon tea available only this autumn and winter.
