From Monday, August 3, 2026, Ikebukuro PARCO holds a new cross-shop project themed around pop culture, called PARCO POP CULTURE PARK. Treating the whole of Ikebukuro PARCO — packed with appealing content and shops — as a single "park," the project lets visitors wander the building freely, drawn in by works they already love, and discover new works, culture, and people along the way, connecting one "favorite" to the next. Through encounters and discoveries with pop culture unique to Ikebukuro PARCO, the event aims to offer an experience more visitors can enjoy freely.
Highlights include special events at participating shops, a capsule toy lottery where visitors can win pop culture items, and programming across around 30 shops related to manga, anime, games, and characters. Costumed mascots also gather, including Tama from "教育番組," Yurushito from EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01, and Vault Boy from Fallout. At the same time, the city-wide manga and anime festival Ikebukuro Manga Anime Weeks 2026, set in Ikebukuro, debuts simultaneously.
