illi Toas Tokyo-Toranomon Opens in Minato Ward, Designed for Group Stays and Late-Night Enjoyment

A new boutique hotel, illi Toas Tokyo-Toranomon (イリー トーズ トウキョウトラノモン), is opening in the Toranomon area of Minato Ward, Tokyo, in March 2026. The property is operated by BARE NOTE STUDIO, the company behind the group-stay hotel brand illi Stays.

Concept: "Neo-Late"

The hotel's name draws from the word "Toast" — a nod to the act of raising a glass at the end of the day. The concept, described as "Neo-Late" (a quiet, comfortable late evening), shapes the design and atmosphere throughout. Located in Toranomon, a neighborhood that attracts discerning visitors from Japan and abroad, the hotel offers a space to step away from the city's bustle and unwind naturally.

At the heart of the room is a large window framing the Toranomon skyline, with the view woven into the spatial design through deep zoning. Warm wood grain contrasts with the refined texture of stone, creating a calm, refined atmosphere. Softly lit ceilings are designed to illuminate guests' faces gently, enhancing moments spent with loved ones.

Scene: Daylight — An Open Living Space and Kitchen

Natural light pours through large windows, merging with the Toranomon streetscape to create an open and airy feel. A mustard-yellow sofa bed positioned toward the rear center of the room serves as a comfortable anchor — a warm spot that feels like a natural extension of daily life.

Living room

The approximately 2.7-meter kitchen is fully equipped with carefully selected appliances and cooking utensils, making even the act of preparing food feel a little more special.

Kitchen

The kitchen counter and dining table feature terrazzo tiles. Against the room's walnut-toned palette, the irregular tile pattern adds a playful, textured accent.

As evening falls, the space transforms into a quiet sanctuary — the contrast between the Toranomon night skyline and the room's soft interior lighting creates a serene atmosphere. A luminous ceiling that casts light evenly, much like moonlight, softly illuminates faces and gently warms the tone of conversation.

About illi Stays

illi Stays is a hotel brand operating primarily in central Tokyo, designed around the concept "More comfortable than home, more special than a hotel." The brand focuses on three pillars: reliability (hotel-grade cleaning quality and well-stocked amenities), originality (each property features its own concept and spatial design), and functionality (living room, dining, kitchen, and washer/dryer in every suite for comfortable stays of four or more guests or extended periods).
