Every year, The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon and The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza create festive trees in collaboration with local artists, with sustainability as one of their pillars. This year's trees are made with artist DAICHI MIURA.
At The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon, the "CRYSTAL TREE," themed around "the boundary between people and nature," goes on display in the lobby from November 16, 2026 (Monday). At The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza, the "ARCH TREE," which expresses "choices and the world that opens up beyond them," is displayed in the lobby from November 17, 2026 (Tuesday).
Each hotel also serves an afternoon tea tied to the collaboration. The Toranomon hotel offers the "CRYSTAL AFTERNOON TEA," inspired by crystals and gemstones. The Ginza hotel offers the "MATERIALISM AFTERNOON TEA," inspired by DAICHI MIURA's story of Josie, a materialist.
Through art and food, visitors can experience each of the worlds DAICHI MIURA has created with all five senses during the festive season.
The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon: "CRYSTAL TREE" and "CRYSTAL AFTERNOON TEA"

About the CRYSTAL TREE
The CRYSTAL TREE is a sculpture that looks like a natural object, with crystal grains formed over an immense span of time standing in for ice and snow. Its base uses recycled plastic bottles, which can be called "crystals" made by human hands.
It brings together things created by nature and things created by people. Is it a natural object or an artificial one? Is a plastic bottle a work of art, or is it trash? By combining things with different times and backgrounds, the work questions the boundaries we unconsciously hold between "nature and the artificial" and between "artwork and waste."
The clear material created by nature and the clear material created by people together give rise to "light," which is the core of the work.
About the CRYSTAL AFTERNOON TEA
Since ancient times, people have found various meanings in stones created by nature: love, courage, hope, intuition, change, and healing. They have projected their own wishes and stories onto crystals and gemstones, each with its own color and sparkle.
The CRYSTAL AFTERNOON TEA expresses its sweets and savories through the colors and sparkle of these gemstones.
The limited-quantity novelty is one of 12 types of gemstones, and which one arrives is not known until it is in hand. Each comes with an oracle card describing the meaning and message of that gemstone, reflecting the collaboration's concept of "encountering one another across time." The idea is that things that meet across different times and places create new meaning, so guests can enjoy the chance and wonder hidden in an unexpected encounter along with their afternoon tea.

The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza: "ARCH TREE" and "MATERIALISM AFTERNOON TEA"

About the ARCH TREE
An arch is a gate leading to a different world, and it symbolizes the "process" of getting there. The light and depth created by layer upon layer of arches express the countless choices in life and the unseen world that lies beyond them.
The festive tree portrays a life journey of moving on to a new world beyond, one choice at a time, through its structure of connected arches and overlapping light. It carries the hope that the holiday moments spent at The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza will remain in visitors' memories as beautiful layers.
About the MATERIALISM AFTERNOON TEA
"If you want my love, give me a gift worthy of it!"
The MATERIALISM AFTERNOON TEA is inspired by a story about Josie, a materialist who searches for true love in a society overflowing with "things" and the consumption of them. The various "wants" on Josie's Wish List, such as designer bags, jewelry, cosmetics, and bouquets, are expressed as playful sweets.
The limited-quantity novelty is an acrylic charm and a sticker featuring Josie, so guests can enjoy Josie's story alongside items that bring the afternoon tea's world closer. Surrounded by the sparkling holiday season, guests can reflect on "wants" and "love" and enjoy conversation with someone they care about.
The standing Josie card menu, which reflects Josie's world, is also worth a look.
