Officially licensed merchandise from the popular manga Initial D is coming to Michi-no-Eki Shimonita, a roadside station in Gunma Prefecture. From Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (a national holiday), a dedicated corner opens in the station's local products shop, offering items such as magnets, omamori charm key chains, and T-shirts that let fans enjoy the world of the series up close.
The products are planned and sold by Faith Co., Ltd., which operates the vehicle-themed goods brand "CAMSHOP.JP," and are officially licensed by Kodansha. At Michi-no-Eki Shimonita, a new spot is being set up where fans visiting the area can pick out Initial D goods in person.
A Stop to Enjoy Alongside a Drive Through the Myogi Stage
Initial D is set mainly in Gunma Prefecture. Mt. Myogi, which appears in the story, is known as the setting of memorable battles. Gunma Prefecture's tourism information also introduces model courses that tour spots featured in the series, such as Mt. Myogi and Usui Pass.
Michi-no-Eki Shimonita is located along National Route 254, about 5 minutes by car from Shimonita Interchange on the Joshin-etsu Expressway. It is an easy place to stop while driving around Mt. Myogi or visiting locations connected to the series, and visitors can browse Initial D goods while taking a break, having a meal, or shopping for souvenirs.
The roadside station also stocks regional specialties, including local farm products, Shimonita's famous konnyaku, and dairy products from Kozu Pasture. Along the drive through the world of Initial D, visitors can enjoy tastes and souvenirs unique to Shimonita.
