The Special Exhibition "Jakuchu, Rimpa, and the Arts of Kyoto – The Sparkling Hosomi Collection" is on view at the Kyushu National Museum in Dazaifu, Fukuoka, from April 21 through June 14, 2026. A special merchandise shop featuring exhibition-exclusive goods is open alongside the exhibition, with a collaboration piece by Fukuoka-born illustrator NAKAKI PANTZ adding a unique highlight to the lineup.

NAKAKI PANTZ Collaboration

As part of the Special Exhibition "Jakuchu, Rimpa, and the Arts of Kyoto – The Sparkling Hosomi Collection," Fukuoka-born illustrator NAKAKI PANTZ created a specially drawn illustration inspired by Ito Jakuchu's work Rooster in the Snow (Setchū Yūkeizu), which also serves as the main visual for the exhibition.

Merchandise featuring this original collaboration illustration is available at the exhibition shop.

Original Back-Print T-Shirt (¥5,800 tax included)

Original Tote Bag (¥2,750 tax included)

Comment from NAKAKI PANTZ:

"For this collaboration, I created an illustration inspired by Ito Jakuchu's Rooster in the Snow, the main visual for the exhibition. The Hosomi Collection – often described as a 'textbook of Japanese art' – is on display in full, making for an incredibly rich and rewarding experience. The Rimpa works in particular are overwhelmingly beautiful; you simply cannot look away. I hope you'll take this opportunity to visit!"

NAKAKI PANTZ is known for illustrations of "strong, cute, and self-expressive" women, with work spanning fashion brand campaigns, advertising visuals, and music video illustrations.
