G-MODE Corporation (headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo; President and CEO: Seiichiro Kato) is bringing a Nintendo Switch package version of Japanese Rural Life Adventure, the slow-life simulation game developed by GAME START LLC, to store shelves on Thursday, November 12.

About Japanese Rural Life Adventure
Japanese Rural Life Adventure has been available on Nintendo Switch and Steam to strong reception, and now the long-awaited Nintendo Switch package version is finally here.
The game first launched in September 2023 through the Apple Arcade subscription service, quickly generating buzz and topping the download charts in both Japan and the United States.
It was featured in the March 3, 2026 "Indie World" presentation and released on Nintendo Switch and Steam that same day, reaching third place on the Nintendo eShop download ranking.
The game has also earned recognition at the Dengeki Indie Award 2026, placing 6th overall and 5th in the Simulation category, among other honors.

To celebrate the Nintendo Switch package version's release, Japanese Rural Life Adventure has received its latest update, Ver. 1.3.0. Whether you're already playing or just getting started, now's a great time to dive in.
What's New:
- New "treasures" have been added to each area. Donate them to the village chief and you might just fill up the local museum — be sure to search for them!
How to Check Your Update:
Nintendo Switch: With the game's icon selected on the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, press + to open Options, then select "Software Update" → "Update via internet." If the update has already been applied automatically, you'll see "This software is up to date." Confirm the version reads Ver. 1.3.0.
Steam: Log in to Steam and click the "Library" button. Right-click "Japanese Rural Life Adventure" and select "Properties." Open the "Updates" tab and check the Build ID near the bottom of the page. The latest Build ID is 24326639.

The story begins as your character leaves the city behind and moves into an old, empty house in the countryside — the first step is simply cleaning it up.
