JUNGLIA OKINAWA, the theme park located in the Yanbaru region of northern Okinawa and operated by Japan Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Nago City, Okinawa; CEO: Takeshi Kato), has been rolling out a series of heat-relief initiatives to help guests enjoy the park comfortably during summer. As the third installment of these measures, the park will launch a cooling ice poncho rental service starting July 1, 2026, in collaboration with STEAD Technology Co., Ltd., which has joined the "JUNGLIA Cooling Partner 2026" collaborative program.
JUNGLIA OKINAWA features many outdoor spaces designed to immerse guests in nature, and the park had received requests from guests for a cooler and more comfortable park experience. This summer, in response to guest feedback, the park introduced its heat-relief measures in phases: the first initiative was a partnership with Kao's "Biore," the second included the addition of large covered outdoor rest areas and expanded large mist fans to circulate cool air—along with a 40% increase in benches and parasols compared to last year and additional free rental umbrellas.
The third initiative brings the cooling ice poncho rental in time for the most intense heat of the season, under the spirit of wanting guests to make the most of an Okinawa summer. The partnership with STEAD Technology aims to further improve the park environment so guests can fully enjoy Okinawa's summer. The park also offers water shooters and cooling goods to enhance the overall experience.

A first-ever theme park collaboration brings the "wearable refrigerator" ice poncho rental service
The cooling poncho generates a refreshing chill—as if just taken out of a refrigerator—simply by getting it wet and giving it a shake. The more you shake it, the more rapidly it cools, quickly bringing down body temperature that has risen in the heat. The effect is noticeable even under Okinawa's intense sunlight. The poncho also offers UV protection of 90–99% with UPF50+, shielding skin from the sun's rays throughout long hours at the park—whether at attractions, strolling around, or watching outdoor shows. After getting soaked at a water show, guests can shake the poncho for even more cooling. Adults and children alike can enjoy the full park experience without worrying about the heat. For this first-ever theme park collaboration, STEAD is providing 5,000 cooling ice ponchos bearing the JUNGLIA logo (regular price: ¥6,000 including shipping) as a rental service.
