Starting July 1, 2026, JW Marriott Hotel Nara will serve a limited-time "Muscat Afternoon Tea" at the Flying Stag Lounge & Bar on the first floor. The seasonal menu centers on glistening muscat grapes paired with early-summer ingredients such as elderflower, fromage blanc, and apricot, all presented in a palette of refreshing greens.
A three-tier tea stand holds 5 sweets and 5 savories. Delicate pale-green jellies and botanically inspired confections evoke a stroll through a lush summer garden.
Sweets
The sweet selection includes:
- Elderflower Blancmange with Grape Jelly – a silky dessert with a smooth texture and a fragrant botanical aroma, perfect for the season
- Cacao Pulp and Muscat Bonbon Chocolat – accented with a hint of sudachi citrus
- Muscat Macaron – crisp shells sandwiching juicy grape filling and light cream
- Fromage Blanc and Muscat Mousse – a harmonious balance of rich creaminess and refreshing acidity
- Muscat Mille-Feuille Tartlet – a buttery tart base with custard that highlights the fruit's natural freshness
Savories
The savory selection includes:
- Muscat and Prosciutto Mini Dog – plump muscat grapes and salty prosciutto in a soft bun, finished with mint
- Muscat and Ricotta Cheese Pincho – a light and fresh bite-sized combination
- White Fish Carpaccio with Muscat Salsa Verde – served chilled in a glass vessel
- Muscat and Shrimp Asian Sauté with Avocado Sauce – a bold, flavor-forward combination
- Muscat and Bacon Eggs Benedict–Style – a savory twist bringing together sweetness, saltiness, and acidity
