KIDS FES in Saitama, a child-centered experiential family event, is scheduled for Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Saitama Shintoshin Park in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. This is the second time the event has been held, following its debut in February 2026. Admission is free.
The event features a wide range of content for children and families, including hands-on workshops, food stalls, a stamp rally, traditional fair games, bouncy rides, and live entertainment.
Workshop Area
A variety of hands-on workshops and career-themed experiences are planned where children can learn while playing.
Slime Making
Children can pick their favorite color and mix and knead the materials to create their own original slime. The stretchy, tactile sensation is part of the fun.
Cotton Candy Crafting
Participants spin colorful sugar granules to grow their own cotton candy. Using a variety of colored sugars, children can create a one-of-a-kind fluffy treat.
Water Workshop
This program introduces the next-generation water circulation system "WOSH" in an accessible, hands-on format suitable for both children and adults.
Design Experience
A creative coloring and free-drawing activity where children can use their hands and feet to make their own marks — and express themselves however they like.
Aquarium Craft
Using water and oil, participants create a mini aquarium and observe the properties of liquids — how they separate and circulate — through direct, hands-on exploration.
Kimono Experience
Children can choose a yukata or dress, and staff will help with hair and dressing. A photo booth is also set up so families can take their own pictures.
Decoration Workshop
Participants combine pens, keychains, and other parts to decorate and create their own unique item to take home.
Sock Kamishibai Experience
Starting with a picture-card story that answers the question "Why do socks have a heel?", children learn about the history of socks and the craft behind them. Afterward, they get to try knitting with real yarn and experience the satisfaction of shaping something from a single thread.
Gel Candle Making
Children layer colored sand inside a glass and add decorative glass pieces to create their very own gel candle.
Food Area
Over 10 food stalls and kitchen cars serving a variety of cuisines are set to gather at the venue, giving families a chance to enjoy a meal or snack while taking a break from the activities.

Stamp Rally
Visitors can explore the venue and collect stamps at various spots around the park. Completing the stamp card enters participants in a lottery with prizes up for grabs.
Other Attractions
The event also includes traditional fair games (ennichi), bouncy ride equipment, and live entertainment. On May 30 (Saturday), android performer YuE will appear, while May 31 (Sunday) features performer Hiyoko.
