Choshinjo Kinokuniya Kyomachiya has launched the Kinokuniya ALL-Japanese Blood Orange Marmalade (Moro), a product made entirely from domestically sourced ingredients. Not just the fruit, but also the sugar and lemon juice are all sourced from within Japan.

What Is "Moro"?
"Moro" is a variety of blood orange known for its exceptionally deep color, balanced sweetness and acidity, and rich, full-bodied flavor.
To bring out this distinctive character, the marmalade preserves the fruit's natural sweetness and tartness without masking them. The sugar used is beet granulated sugar made from beet grown in Hokkaido, and the lemon juice is also made from domestic lemons — meaning every ingredient inside the jar comes from Japan.
The recipe is deliberately kept simple, with no extra additives, so the flavor of the fruit itself takes center stage.

How to Enjoy It
The marmalade pairs naturally with toast or yogurt, but it also works well with cheese or desserts, where the bright citrus flavor becomes especially appealing.
Also Available: ALL-Japanese Strawberry Jam "Kagayaki"

Alongside the marmalade, a strawberry jam called "Kagayaki" (輝き) is also available. Made from domestic strawberries, it offers a gentle sweetness with depth and a soft, natural character. It works well as part of breakfast or teatime.
