A new line of leather accessories inspired by the Hinotori Limited Express is set to go on sale on June 18 (Thursday), 2026. The collection, produced by Kintetsu Retailing Co., Ltd., features four items made from Tochigi leather and is designed to complement professional settings with a subdued, polished look. Items will be available at Kintetsu GOTO-CHI station shops as well as the Irodorimall online store.
The Four Products
The collection features a color scheme based on the Hinotori Limited Express and comes in two colorways: Black × Red (available at all stores and online) and Camel (online exclusive at the Irodorimall shop).
Business Card Case

A minimalist design featuring the Hinotori logo embossed on the inner surface using a heat-and-pressure stamping technique. The result has a clean, business-ready finish that pairs well with formal settings.
IC Card Case with Reel

A practical IC card holder with a reel mechanism for easy use without removing it from a bag. The reel extends to approximately 40cm, allowing convenient tap-and-go use while the case stays attached. The quality of the Tochigi leather is maintained throughout the design.

Craftsmanship and Materials
Each item in the collection is made by hand from start to finish, with artisans assessing the condition of each piece of leather individually to achieve a balance of appearance and durability.
Tochigi leather is a domestically produced material that develops a richer look and feel with regular use over time — a process known as aging. The exterior stitching uses No. 8 thread, while the interior is reinforced with No. 20 thread for durability. Stitch tension, machine speed, and needle placement are adjusted to suit the thickness of the leather at each point.
The Hinotori logo is applied using a dry embossing technique — heat and pressure only, with no foil or pigment added. Because natural leather varies from hide to hide, the depth and shade of each imprint differ subtly from one item to the next. Artisans select the most suitable section of leather for logo placement to ensure the best visual result.
