The Mexican goods brand Letra is holding pop-up shops at 17 locations across Japan in June 2026.
Every year, the brand receives enthusiastic requests from fans nationwide asking Letra to come to their city. In response to that warm reception, the pop-up shops return again this year, offering a chance to experience the vibrant colors and handcrafted warmth of Mexico.
"The Joy of Choosing in Person" — Brought to Your City

The pop-up shops are characterized by an overwhelming variety of designs and product types — much like wandering into a Mexican marketplace. It is a rare opportunity to experience firsthand what is difficult to convey through an online shop: the texture of the materials, the perfect sizing, and the joy of finding your own personal favorite.
"Being able to visit everyone's city each year is our greatest joy.
The excitement of picking up items and going back and forth on your choices — that is exactly what a Mexican market feels like. We are looking forward to sharing another wonderful time with everyone this summer. Please come visit the venue nearest to you!"
Your "How Cute!" Supports the Future of Local Artisans
Letra's products are carefully handwoven one by one by artisans in Mexico.
As the number of people passing down traditional techniques continues to decline, Letra works to create stable local employment through ongoing orders at fair prices. When a customer picks up a bag thinking "This is adorable!", that appreciation flows back to distant Mexico, connecting a fading craft to the future — embodying what the brand calls "everyday SDGs."

About Letra

Letra is a brand specializing in Mexican goods, with the Mercado bag as its flagship product, having debuted in 2014.
The brand's buyer was captivated by the energetic people and colorful streets of Mexico in the late 2000s and began visiting the country several times a year. It was there that they discovered the Mercado bag. Sensing the potential in these lightweight yet durable bags, they began importing and selling them in Japan.
Since 2014, Letra has been steadily growing awareness of Mercado bags in Japan, with purchasing volumes rising from 1,200 units in 2015 to 35,000 units in 2024.
Customers get to enjoy Mercado bags, while the brand contributes long-term to the preservation of Mexico's traditional craft techniques, vocational training in correctional facilities, and the livelihood stability of Mercado bag artisans — all as part of Letra's Social Good mission.

The 2026 SS season theme is "TIMELESS" — a commitment to craftsmanship that continues to be loved across generations, and to building a sustainable production system.
