"KitKat Holiday Santa," the Santa-shaped KitKat that Nestlé Japan sells every Christmas season, goes on sale for a limited season on Monday, November 2, 2026. Four products are available. A limited-time "KitKat Holiday Santa Cafe" will also open at Ueno Onshi Park in Tokyo from Wednesday, November 18.
Santa-Shaped KitKat for a "Little Extra" Christmas
KitKat Holiday Santa is sold every Christmas season. Its shape differs from conventional KitKat products, and its festive packaging has been popular for sharing with family and friends and as a casual gift.
In recent years, against a backdrop of rising prices and changing lifestyles, the way people enjoy Christmas has been changing. Beyond dining out and large parties, more people want to bring a seasonal touch to the dining table, sweets and small gifts at home, and to enjoy a Christmas mood without straining themselves. With this in mind, Nestlé Japan focused on "choi-tashi Christmas" (ちょい足しクリスマス), which means adding "just a little" Christmas to everyday life, and will sell the four KitKat Holiday Santa products for the season from Monday, November 2.
The cute Santa Claus shape can be enjoyed as it is, placed on a Christmas cake, or used as a decoration for homemade sweets and desserts, turning everyday treats into holiday ones with little effort. Without any elaborate preparation, simply adding a cute Santa as a "little extra" lets you share a Christmas mood with yourself and with people who matter to you.
The front of each individually wrapped piece carries one of six messages, such as "Merry Christmas!", "Let's enjoy it together ♡" and "Have a good Christmas!", so the pieces can casually convey a small message to family, friends or coworkers.

KitKat Holiday Santa Cafe at Tokyo Christmas Advent in Ueno Onshi Park
In November, a "KitKat Holiday Santa Cafe" will open within "Tokyo Christmas Advent Sponsored by au PAY" (東京クリスマスアドベントSponsored by au PAY), held at Ueno Onshi Park (上野恩賜公園), offering a range of experience content.
The cafe is a limited-time collaboration between "KitKat Holiday Santa" and "Nescafé KitKat Latte." Under the theme "You are someone's Santa Claus," visitors can feel like an "apprentice Santa" and decorate the tree at the venue, among other "choi-tashi" experiences that make it easy to enjoy Christmas. A limited quantity of Christmas kits that let visitors recreate the venue experience at home will also be handed out, and original drinks available only here can be enjoyed in limited-design Panda Kopanda (パンダコパンダ) cups.

What visitors can experience
- Cafe menu: An original drink available only at the venue, made by finishing "Nescafé KitKat Latte," which combines the richness of coffee with the gentle chocolate flavor of KitKat, with a "little extra" KitKat Holiday Santa. It is served in a cute Panda Kopanda mug available only at the Ueno venue.
- Tree: A giant Christmas tree, 4 meters tall, that visitors complete together by hanging KitKat Holiday Santa message cards on it as ornaments (a "little extra").
- Photo booth: A spot where visitors can take photos while inside an oversized cup designed with KitKat Holiday Santa.
- Sampling: A limited quantity of Christmas kits (one Nescafé KitKat Latte stick and one KitKat Holiday Santa piece) is handed out so that visitors can recreate the venue experience, such as topping a drink or decorating a tree, after returning home. On Thursday, November 19, Panda Kopanda is scheduled to hand out the Christmas kits as an "apprentice Santa."

About Nescafé KitKat Latte
"Nescafé KitKat Latte" lets you enjoy the taste of KitKat in a latte (uses wafer flavoring and contains 3% cocoa powder). The rich flavor of Nescafé is blended with mellow chocolate and the toasty aroma of wafer, giving a deep taste reminiscent of KitKat. It can be made simply by pouring in hot water, and the flavors of coffee, cacao and toasty wafer spread through the mouth together with a fluffy, creamy foam. Suggested for an everyday "break," it is a cup to add color to a moment of relaxation at home.
About Tokyo Christmas Advent Sponsored by au PAY
"Christmas Advent," a winter tradition that began in Fukuoka, opens at Hakamagoshi Plaza (袴腰広場) in Ueno Onshi Park, Tokyo, on Friday, November 6, 2026, and from Wednesday, November 18 will also be held in stages in the Shinobazu Pond area. The 2026 theme is "Five Senses Christmas," with content that can be enjoyed with all five senses, including a Christmas circus held in Tokyo for the first time, live music and markets.
A collaboration with Panda Kopanda, which marks the 55th anniversary of its theatrical release in 2027, will also take place. From Wednesday, November 18, limited mugs and other items will liven up Ueno at Christmas.
