A Nationwide Bread Journey at KITTE Osaka
An Encounter With "Jimoto Pan®" Rarely Found in Osaka
Writer Kai Minori, who covers travel, everyday life, sweets, and general goods in her work, is known as the person who coined the term "jimoto pan®" (local bread) and continues to share the appeal of bread culture from across Japan. Under her supervision, this event introduces jimoto pan® that has long been loved in each region, recommended breads found within the building, and delicious accompaniments to enjoy bread even more. Kai, who knows bread from all over the country inside and out, brings breads she wants to introduce right now — breads that are hard to find in Osaka. From Hokkaido to Okinawa, enjoy a "bread journey" around Japan, encountering flavors unique to each region.
What Is "Jimoto Pan®"?
Bread unique to a region that has been cherished there for many years. It is mainly made by local bakeries founded in the Showa 20s to 30s, and continues to be loved across generations.

12 Bakeries, 53 Kinds of Bread From Tohoku to Western Japan
Regional "Jimoto Pan®" From Across Japan, Rotating Weekly
From Tohoku to western Japan, jimoto pan® that has long been loved nationwide gathers with a new lineup each week. Each week features a different theme, such as "retro breads with packaging you can't resist buying" or "Kai Minori's selection." Products from three bakeries line up each day, introducing a total of 12 bakeries and 53 kinds of jimoto pan® over the course of the event. Alongside the jimoto pan® sales, books and jimoto pan®-related goods will also be sold, creating an opportunity to enjoy the appeal of jimoto pan® and the food culture rooted in each region more deeply while picking up the actual products.
