With more late-summer heat expected in September, KOBE SUMA SEA WORLD (神戸須磨シーワールド) in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, is extending its popular summer-only splash segment, "Tail Burst," through Silver Week and up to September 30, 2026 (Wednesday).
Orca Performance — "Tail Burst"
"Tail Burst," part of the Orca Performance, is a fan-favorite segment in which the orca's massive tail fin sends a merciless spray of water over the audience, letting visitors feel the animal's overwhelming power firsthand. With the heat still lingering this season, front-row seats offer an even bigger splash than expected — a refreshing way to enjoy the show.
The Orca Performance itself showcases the athleticism of the orca, a top predator of the marine ecosystem, together with its interaction with trainers, in an action-packed display. Now that the summer-limited "Tail Burst" splash has been extended, visitors can keep experiencing its powerful spray well into the season.

New "Tail Burst"-Themed Treats and Goods
A new autumn menu item inspired by the show, the "Orca's Tail Burst Cream Soda," has also joined the lineup — a cute drink shaped like a miniature version of the Tail Burst splash, perfect to enjoy alongside the Orca Performance. Other cooling treats are available too, including orca-shaped shaved ice and a black-and-white orca soft-serve. In the on-site shop, a "Tail Burst"-themed mug called the "Sukashi Mug" (スカシマグ) is also on sale.
