Kotobukiya (headquartered in Tachikawa, Tokyo) has announced that its original IP bishojo plastic model series has surpassed a cumulative global shipment of 9.8 million units as of June 2026.
The company says it will continue to pursue further evolution and develop new entries in the Kotobukiya plastic model lineup that exceed fans' expectations. Below is a breakdown by series.
Frame Arms Girl Series Surpasses 3.2 Million Units
Frame Arms Girl has been on sale since May 2015. It is a spin-off series reimagining the mecha units from Kotobukiya's original robot franchise "Frame Arms" as beautiful girls. Thanks to the 3mm-diameter holes featured throughout each kit—a hallmark of the Frame Arms lineup—and PVC wrist parts, the models are fully compatible with the vast M.S.G Weapon Unit range, Frame Arms weapons, and armor components.
Megami Device Series Surpasses 4.5 Million Units

Megami Device launched in December 2016. The series features self-standing 14 cm robot figures envisioned as a "near-future battle hobby"—kits that can be built, customized, and put into battle against one another. Each model is built around the "Machineeca" core body, newly designed by articulated-figure pioneer Masaki Apsy, with characters and mechanical elements handled by a variety of designers.
Sousai Shojo Teien Series Surpasses 1.4 Million Units

Sousai Shojo Teien has been available since January 2021. The series' tagline is "We are the canvas—we can become anything," centered on the themes of "creating" and "coloring" through wardrobe coordination of the characters. Character designs are by multifaceted illustrator Madoka Morikura. Each kit includes multiple hairstyle and accessory parts for mix-and-match fun, and separately sold parts expand the coordination options even further.
Arcanadea Series Surpasses 700,000 Units

Arcanadea debuted in December 2021. This "SF x Fantasy"-themed plastic model series has been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation. Popular illustrator necömi serves as the main character designer, bringing their stunning artwork directly into three-dimensional form. Beyond the model kits themselves, the franchise has expanded to include the SNS-serialized voice comic "Yuru Kanadea" and distributed ASMR content.
