A Hokkaido-exclusive donut inspired by the red fox (Kitakitsune) native to Hokkaido is making its return to Krispy Kreme stores. Starting June 3, 2026, the Krispy Kreme Premium Hokkaido Kitakitsune Milk will be available on a limited-time basis at four Hokkaido locations: sitatte sapporo, Sapporo Pole Town, Sapporo Le Trois, and Chitose Outlet Mall Rera.
The Krispy Kreme Premium Hokkaido series is a line of premium donuts developed around Hokkaido's ingredients, local products, and culture. The Kitakitsune-themed donut first launched in 2023 and earned widespread praise for its charming appearance. For this comeback — the first in three years — the fox's expression has been made even more adorable and the flavor has been updated to better capture the essence of Hokkaido.
The Krispy Kreme Premium Hokkaido Kitakitsune Milk features a fluffy dough filled with a smooth milk cream made from Hokkaido milk, all wrapped in a rich pudding-flavored coating. The fox's distinctive features are carefully crafted: slightly upturned eyes in bitter chocolate, a small nose in coffee-flavored chocolate, white chocolate whiskers, and pointed ears made from sesame cheese crackers — together forming the endearing expression of a Kitakitsune.
