Kyoto Railway Museum Marks Series KiYa 141's 20th Anniversary with Special Display

Kyoto Railway Museum uses a siding track connected to JR West's operating lines to display a variety of rolling stock. This time, the museum is putting the Series KiYa 141 inspection railcar, which is marking its 20th anniversary, on special display. Related events include the display of a 20th-anniversary commemorative emblem and the sale of admission tickets that include a cab tour.

Because the train is brought in by running on an active operating line, the display may be canceled depending on transport circumstances.

Special Display Details

  • Display period: August 2 (Sunday) to August 8 (Saturday)
  • Location: Main Building, 1st Floor, "How Railcars Work / Rolling Stock Workshop" area
  • Cars on display: Series KiYa 141 (KiKuYa 141-2 and KiYa 141-2, G2 formation)

20th Anniversary Emblem

A commemorative emblem marking the Series KiYa 141's 20th anniversary will be displayed on the train's front and sides.

  • Dates: August 2 (Sunday) to August 8 (Saturday)
  • The emblem will not be displayed while the train enters or exits the "How Railcars Work / Rolling Stock Workshop" area on the Main Building's 1st floor.
