LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 3 Update Arrives with New Castle, Boss, and Weapons

Season 3 of the roguelite survival action game LET IT DIE: INFERNO went live on June 9, 2026, following scheduled maintenance. The update brings a major expansion to the mid-game area, along with new characters, weapons, and a new music feature.

The Season 3 trailer is available on YouTube:

Yotsuyama Castle Appears in the Demon Gate

Starting in Season 3, the mid-game area known as the Kimon Labyrinth has been significantly reworked. Deep within, a glowing white fortress called Yotsuyama Castle now stands.

New Boss: Gouma Musha

Waiting inside the castle is the new boss Gouma Musha — a creature created through Yotsuyama's research into fusing fungal organisms with the human body. It uses a fungal spray device on its back to generate explosive speed, and delivers powerful slashing attacks with its weapon.

Two New Playable Bodies

Season 3 introduces two new bodies (playable characters) that become available after meeting specific in-game conditions.

Alien

Inva

Inva is an alien character with a skill called "Chronos Lock," which uses a third eye on its forehead to temporarily stop enemy movement.

Joe

Joe's appearance, skill name, and abilities are currently listed as "Unknown." Players will discover the details upon unlocking the character.

Unlock conditions for each body are listed in the News section of the official website.

Three New Weapons

Metal Whip

The Metal Whip is a whip-style weapon with slightly slower normal attacks, but it covers a wide area, making it well-suited for hitting multiple enemies simultaneously.

New weapon

The Death Blow delivers rapid consecutive hits for burst damage

Plasma Laser

The Plasma Laser is a long-range weapon that specializes in ranged attacks — a rare category in the game. Holding the button to charge increases both range and power, though the lengthy animation leaves the player open to counterattacks.

Execution Blade

The Execution Blade has a sinister scythe-like appearance. Its normal attacks use a mysterious force to slash enemies, with strong speed and range that make it adaptable across a variety of combat scenarios.

New BGM Tracks and BGM Selection Feature

Two new music tracks by Akira Yamaoka — the sound creator for the LET IT DIE series — have been added with Season 3. One of the tracks is also featured in the Season 3 trailer.

A new BGM Selection feature has also been implemented, allowing players to choose the music that plays at Iron Perch (the home base) and during Demon Gate exploration, letting each player tailor their in-game audio experience.
