Aquaworld Ibaraki Prefectural Oarai Aquarium (Aquaworld Oarai) — Japan's leading aquarium for shark species diversity (※) — has been unveiling new experiences under its tagline "Saa, Shinsekai!" ("Now, a New Sea World!"). As part of the ongoing event "Little Shark's Day Out × Aquaworld Oarai," the aquarium will hold a character greeting session featuring the Little Shark character.

Little Shark Character Greeting — Photo Session on July 11
A commemorative photo session with the Little Shark character will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, as part of "Little Shark's Day Out × Aquaworld Oarai." Tickets (numbered entry cards) are required to participate.

Venue: 3rd Floor — Shark Daddy's Room
Numbered entry cards will be distributed from 9:00 AM on the day at Shark Daddy's Room on the 3rd floor. Please collect a card for your preferred time slot before heading to the venue.
Photo Session Participation Details and Notes:
- One photo will be taken per group. Please hand your smartphone or camera to the photography staff.
- Entry cards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis; your preferred time slot may already be fully distributed by the time you arrive.
- To avoid congestion at the entry card line, only one representative per group may queue.
- To allow as many guests as possible to enjoy the session, participation is limited to once per day per group.
- Venue and session details may change depending on crowd conditions.
"Little Shark's Day Out × Aquaworld Oarai" — Now Underway
The "Little Shark's Day Out × Aquaworld Oarai" event runs through Monday, July 13, 2026. Starting Thursday, June 18, the aquarium is screening an exclusive original video, "Learn About Sharks with Little Shark!" — a fun and educational look at sharks created in collaboration with the Little Shark's Day Out series. Visitors can enjoy the video alongside the event's stamp rally.
