Loro Piana opened a new flagship store in Omotesando, Tokyo on October 9, 2026. The maison opened its first boutique in Japan at Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo in August 1999, and since then it has built a long and deeply trusting relationship with Japan, a country that shares its values of quality and respect for tradition. The Loro Piana Omotesando store, the maison's 15th in Japan, marks a new base in that journey.
The store spreads across four floors, including a basement level, of a building designed specially for the maison. The facade, designed by Japanese architect Jun Aoki, pays homage to Loro Piana's textile traditions. To mark the opening, the installation "Master of Fibres" will be on view inside the store from October 29 to November 1, 2026.
Facade
More than 1,400 terracotta tiles made specially in Tuscany, Italy cover the facade, bringing Italian craftsmanship to the Tokyo cityscape. The custom tiles curve gracefully like the warp threads of a fine fabric, and the entrance appears as if a theater curtain were gently opening. The facade uses seven different shades, including the maison's iconic Kümmel, colored with mineral powders and blended specially for Loro Piana. Embodying Loro Piana's craftsmanship, the design combines artistry with technical skill and expresses, in architectural form, the maison's mastery of natural materials.
Window Display
Loro Piana's story is one of Italian excellence and a passion for the incomparable, passed down through generations since the company's founding in 1924. It is a journey in search of rare, ultra-fine fibers and the ultimate quality. The first window display at the Omotesando store weaves together the maison's history and codes to express these origins dramatically. The scene features a sky and clouds in the maison's signature Kümmel and nuanced blush tones, while miniature goats seem to float in the air above a hanging balance scale. Within this scene, rich in terracotta and gold tones, the 2026-2027 Fall/Winter collection is on display.
The New Flagship Store
The concept and interior design draw on natural materials, a warm color palette, and wood details such as oak. Reinterpreting the maison's heritage from a classic yet modern perspective, the interior blends refined beauty with comfort and feels like a "second home." Richly textured finishes, silk carpets, marble tables, and carefully selected vintage items reflect the maison's pursuit of the finest touch, while warm earth tones such as Kümmel, beige, and burgundy combine with soft lighting to create an enveloping atmosphere.
The store spans four floors, including the basement level (B1F). Stepping onto the first floor, visitors are greeted by an area of carefully selected accessories and leather goods, with refined scarves and stoles displayed on the walls. Women's apparel is also on the first floor, and the collection continues up to the second floor, where soft tones blend with refined wood details.
The third floor (3F) presents Loro Piana's home collection, where guests are welcomed by "Untitled/Moustache," a work on a jute canvas by Italian artist Salvatore Emblema. Also on display is the Ora d'Oro (オラ・ドーロ) blanket, which was first unveiled in the installation "Studies, Chapter I: On the Plaid," shown at Milan Design Week 2026. Blankets and tableware are placed throughout the sofas and cozy seating areas that invite visitors to relax. Beyond mirrored doors are VIP rooms for men and women, available by appointment only. The women's VIP room features a Murano glass chandelier, while the men's VIP room, in subdued tones, is designed like a walk-in closet. At the center of the men's floor on the basement level stands the iconic Pantalonaio (パンタロナイオ), an open-type piece of furniture used in the early Loro Piana boutiques and now put to use again to present merchandise.
Also on the basement level, the Loro Piana Atelier offers experiences found only here. Along with repair and care services that help customers enjoy their garments for longer, it introduces the stories behind Loro Piana's finest materials, including vicuña, cashmere, baby cashmere, The Gift of Kings®, cotton, and linen. Display panels tell of the maison's textile tradition and pioneering efforts, drawing guests into the story of the maison's craftsmanship in a refined space.

Omotesando Store Exclusive Items
The apparel offered specially to mark the opening is luxurious yet versatile, suiting every style. The men's Moran Bomber (モラン・ボンバー), tailored in The Gift of Kings®, has a refined navy blue that conveys a modern edge and understated elegance.
Loro Piana's signature bags are also being offered specially for the opening. The Giera Shopper (ギエラ・ショッパー), which combines a distinctive style with timeless appeal, is made of supple butter calf leather in ground colors and comes in two sizes, small and large. A limited model of the Extra Pocket L19 has also appeared as a poetic tribute to the nature that has inspired the maison. It features a delicate botanical print on silk, adding a touch of glamour to the Omotesando store's collection.
Installation "Master of Fibres"
The installation "Master of Fibres," held at the Loro Piana Omotesando store, traces the maison's 100-year history, which has grown through tradition and innovation. Through timeless elegance, craftsmanship, and sensory textures, Loro Piana has established its position as a Master of Fibres. Weaving together archive pieces and tactile experiences, the installation guides guests into the world of fibers. Inside the store, raw cashmere in neutral tones is displayed as a sculptural installation. This limited-time exhibition centers on archive pieces selected from Loro Piana's extensive Archivio Storico in Varallo, Piedmont, Italy.
