Love Letter Event 2026 - Write a Letter for Valentine's Day at Ikebukuro Sunshine City
The Japan Paper Association will host the "Love Letter Event 2026 - Write a Letter for Valentine's Day" at Sunshine City's Fountain Square (Alpa B1) in Ikebukuro from February 7 (Saturday) to February 14 (Saturday), 2026. Visitors are invited to write love letters to express their feelings to someone special—whether a crush, partner, spouse, family member, or friend.

Event Concept
In today's digital age where communication via smartphones and various digital tools has become the norm, this event aims to help people rediscover the unique warmth and effectiveness of expressing feelings through handwritten letters. Originally launched in 2011 as a contest format, the event has evolved into a more participatory experience since last year, marking its 16th edition this year.

How to Participate
At the venue, visitors will receive an original letter kit to write their love letters expressing their important feelings. After completing their letters, participants can post them in a heart-shaped mailbox. The event space is designed as a "museum" where posted love letters will be displayed as artworks, allowing everyone to read the heartfelt messages from other participants.
Those who post their love letters can participate in a lottery drawing with chances to win wonderful prizes including experience catalog gifts. Additionally, this year features a new giant gacha machine specifically for children up to elementary school age.
