The World of Kyogen by Mannojo Nomura, a stage production showcasing the appeal of kyogen, a traditional Japanese performing art, will be held at Roppongi Tricolore Theater in Tokyo's Roppongi from Friday, October 30 to Friday, November 6, 2026.
Kyogen has been passed down and refined over roughly 600 years, giving it the feel of a stylish comedic theater that never feels dated despite being a traditional art form. Mannojo Nomura, the sixth-generation bearer of the name and a rising young star in the kyogen world, invites audiences into this world.

The program changes daily, with Mannojo himself choosing each day's selections from a repertoire that includes 雷, 棒縛, 蝸牛, 寝音曲, 佐渡狐, 成上り, 仏師, and 萩大名, among other pieces. After-talks with guests are also planned for each performance, so the show offers something new no matter how many times audiences return.
Mannojo's two younger brothers, Kennosuke Nomura and Shinnosuke Nomura, join him as co-stars, with additional performers from the Nomura Manzo family and school also appearing. Amid the many kinds of art and culture that pass through Roppongi, audiences are invited to enjoy a night out watching kyogen.
Further details will be announced on the official website of Roppongi Tricolore Theater (http://tricolore-theater.com/). Exclusive first-come, first-served presale tickets go on sale through Ticket Pia starting at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 27.
