Nexon Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based game developer and operator, has launched the second phase of the winter update "ASSEMBLE" for the PC MMORPG MapleStory.

This update brings job revamps for the "Sengoku" class, allowing Hayato to use sword techniques without stance or blade energy restrictions, and transforming Kanna's sub-weapon to "Spirit Talisman" for battles alongside powerful Shikigami. The update also includes a mission event celebrating the Sengoku revamp and adds new 6th job skills called "Ascent Skills" with explosive power.
Main Update Details
Job Revamp: Sengoku Class
The update revamps Hayato and Kanna jobs, including tutorial and story updates, plus new illustrations and default appearances. Hayato now fights without stance or blade energy limitations, while Kanna's sub-weapon changes to "Spirit Talisman," featuring new skills for battling with powerful Shikigami.
Event: Sakuno-Hime's Support
A commemorative event "Sakuno-Hime's Support" celebrates the Hayato and Kanna job revamps. Players who create these characters during the event period and complete designated missions can obtain growth-supporting items like "New Sengoku Support Box" and "Transcendence Growth Elixir." Additionally, defeating a certain number of appropriate-level monsters rewards exclusive avatars, damage skins, and chair items.

New 6th Job Skill Core: Ascent Skills
The update adds "Ascent Skills," a new 6th job skill core for all classes. Following "Origin Skills," these are the second skill cores in the 6th job advancement, featuring attacks with explosive firepower.
New Boss: The First Adversary
A new boss "The First Adversary" will be implemented after the February 5 update. Characters level 270 and above can challenge this boss content, which features strategic combat utilizing the dedicated skill "Parry" to deflect certain attacks. Four difficulty levels are available, and clearing "HARD" or higher has a chance to reward the new equipment item "Immortal Legacy."
Various Growth Support Events Ongoing
During the ASSEMBLE update period, players can participate in "Hyper Burning BEYOND," allowing 1+4 level-ups up to level 260 and 1+1 level-ups up to level 270. "Hyper Kinoko Pass" and "Genesis Pass" continue support up to level 280, with participation available twice each. Other Updates
The "Nou-Hime" boss has been revamped with adjusted difficulty and stage composition. Related Hiezan quests and Kinoko Shrine field updates are also included.
