Photographer Mika Ninagawa has turned her lens on Fantasy Springs, the theme port at Tokyo DisneySea, for the latest release in the Tokyo Disney Resort Photography Project "Imagining the Magic," a series that introduces new sides of Tokyo Disney Resort.
Fantasy Springs, home to Rapunzel's Forest, Peter Pan's Never Land, and Frozen Kingdom, opened in 2024 as Tokyo DisneySea's eighth theme port. The new photo book brings together the area's scenery and Disney characters through Ninagawa's vivid, colorful photography.

"Imagining the Magic" is a project introducing new sides of Tokyo Disney Resort. Photos taken alongside the park's joyful moments sometimes capture something magical. The title also plays with dropping the "in" from "Imagining" to form "Imaging" - hinting at the idea of turning magic into images.
About the Photographer
Mika Ninagawa is a photographer, film director, and contemporary artist. Working primarily in photography, she has also created numerous films, videos, and spatial installations. She has received the Ihei Kimura Photography Award and other honors, published many photo books, and held numerous solo and group exhibitions, continuing to present her work actively both in Japan and abroad.
