Nakano Bussan Co., Ltd. (Sakai, Osaka; President Morimasa Nakano), maker of Miyako Konbu and Oshaburi Konbu kelp candies, is releasing "Tsukuyomi no Miyako Konbu," a collaboration product with the film Cosmic Princess Kaguya!, from September 11 (Fri) to September 25 (Fri), 2026, through its official online store, the Miyako Konbu Shop. The product is the first release in Nakano Bussan's new collaboration series, "Hako-oshi Miyako Konbu."

Each of the 10 package designs features a different character, adding a collectible element. The candies can be enjoyed alongside the film's theatrical re-screening starting September 18, or as a snack while watching the film at home (please follow each theater's own rules on food and drink).

Background
As "oshi-katsu" (fan-support activities) have become part of everyday life, Nakano Bussan turned its attention to "hako-oshi," a culture of supporting an entire work through its packaging. This project pairs that idea with the long-familiar boxed format of Miyako Konbu, with the hope of letting fans enjoy the appeal of their favorite works through an everyday snack.
Among the many works considered, the collaboration came together around Cosmic Princess Kaguya!, a title that has drawn major attention after its exclusive release on Netflix and its subsequent theatrical run, including re-screenings.
"Hako-oshi Miyako Konbu" -- support through the box -- is a collaboration series proposing a new form of oshi-katsu, with further collaborations planned with a range of other works going forward.

Iroha Sakayori, a high school student at a college-prep school, spends her hectic days juggling a part-time job and her studies.
Her one comfort is watching the streams of Yachiyo Tsukimi, administrator of the virtual space Tsukuyomi and a hugely popular streamer.
One day, Iroha meets Kaguya, a mysterious girl who appears alongside a utility pole glowing with shifting rainbow "gaming" lights.
Swept along by Kaguya's selfish requests, the two begin streaming together in the virtual space Tsukuyomi, gradually growing closer.
Unaware that an ominous shadow, intent on bringing Kaguya back to the moon, is already closing in --
