Moshikashite? Obake no Shatekiya for Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch on August 6, 2026 (Thursday). The game is a port of the Nintendo Switch version released in 2022, upgraded for Nintendo Switch 2 with new features.

The original Moshikashite? Obake no Shatekiya began as an arcade medal game in July 2019, found in game centers across Japan. The game re-creates the classic shooting gallery experience through high-fidelity physics simulation, combining the tension of carefully aiming at prizes with the excitement of discovering and defeating ghosts hiding among them.
New Feature: "Osusowake Communication" on Nintendo Switch 2
Moshikashite? Obake no Shatekiya for Nintendo Switch 2 supports various play styles, allowing up to three family members or friends to play together.
1. Play with Distant Friends via Game Chat Osusowake

Using Nintendo Switch 2's Game Chat feature, players can enjoy the game with distant friends while talking with them through the Osusowake Communication feature.
Note: Game Chat requires an internet connection and a Nintendo Account with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. Osusowake Communication via Game Chat is only available between Nintendo Switch 2 systems.
2. Play with Nearby Friends via Local Communication

Players can bring their Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 systems together and share software via local communication. In locations without a TV, such as outdoors, each player can view their own screen while playing together.
Note: Only Nintendo Switch 2 can share software; Nintendo Switch can only receive.
Game Overview
Enjoy the Popular Arcade Game Anytime, Anywhere
In Medal Mode—which follows the same basic gameplay as the arcade version—players can enjoy the game without worrying about spending, playing as long as they like. This mode also allows players to encounter ghosts that rarely appear in the arcade and defeat boss characters that are difficult to beat there.

Addictive Tension in the Shooting Gallery Stage
In Medal Mode's shooting gallery stage, players carefully aim at prizes lined up in front of them. Successfully knocking down a prize rewards medals equal to the number shown on it. Shooting down a prize that has a ghost hiding inside causes the ghost to appear and attack—players must then shoot it down to defeat it.
The shooting gallery stage features 24 variations with different gimmicks, including prizes that move up and down or rotate.

Defeat the Final Boss in the Haunted House Stage
The climax of Medal Mode is ghost-hunting in the haunted house stage. Defeating a certain number of ghosts in the shooting gallery stage causes the haunted house to appear, and players enter it.
Inside the haunted house, players shoot down a succession of ghosts as they advance to inner rooms, with the goal of defeating the final boss ghost waiting in the last room.

Party Mode for Family and Friends
Party Mode, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch series, lets families and friends enjoy competitive or cooperative mini-games together. Players can choose from 18 competitive mini-games and 17 cooperative mini-games.

Plenty of Content to Keep You Playing
In addition to Medal Mode and Party Mode, the game offers 200 Missions to complete (which unlock unlimited ammo upon full completion), the Obake Staircase Challenge (clearing mini-games to reach the top), and an item collection system using medals earned in-game.
