Muica Snow Resort in Niigata Prefecture will begin operations for the 2025-2026 season on Saturday, December 27, 2025. The resort is operated by Hospitality Operations Co., Ltd., which manages hotels, ryokans, glamping facilities, ski resorts, golf courses, restaurants, and nursery schools across Japan under the "Smile Resort" brand.

Located just 3 km from the Muikamachi IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway, Muica Snow Resort features a 200m-wide slope and offers diverse courses with varied layouts suitable for beginners to advanced skiers. The high-quality snow and well-maintained slopes provide panoramic views of Mt. Hakkai and the Echigo Sanzan mountain range, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural beauty throughout the seasons. Directly connected to the slopes, "Muika Onsen Hotel" features Muikamachi Onsen, designated as a National Health Resort Hot Spring, providing a relaxing stay to soothe fatigue after skiing.

Slopes for Everyone from First-Timers to Advanced Skiers
Muica Snow Resort offers diverse areas for families and active visitors alike. The "Smile Kids Park," perfect for skiing and snow play debuts, features a snow escalator with a safe design that separates the sled-only area from the skiing area. Free sled rentals are available, allowing small children to enjoy snow play with peace of mind. For intermediate to advanced skiers seeking serious skiing, the ungroomed off-piste field at the top of the slopes is recommended. The three courses utilizing natural terrain offer maximum slopes of 33 degrees and dynamic skiing in powder conditions.
