Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort Opens 2026-2027 Winter Season Pass Early-Bird Sales on September 1

Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort, operated by Iwatake Resort Co., Ltd., begins early-bird sales of its 2026-2027 winter season pass on Tuesday, September 1, at special early-bird pricing. The pass comes with a wide range of privileges, and alongside content for skiers and snowboarders, the resort has also prepared various ways to enjoy time off the slopes, so a broad range of visitors can experience what winter at Hakuba Iwatake has to offer.

Early-Bird Season Pass Includes Free Hot Spring Bathing and More

Sales of the early-bird season pass for Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field begin at early-bird pricing on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Pass holders receive free bathing at any time during the season (normally ¥750 per adult per visit) at Hakuba Himekawa Onsen ("Iwatake no Yu"), along with coupons for 50% off lift tickets and rental fees (two of each), 20% off lunch menus at the summit restaurants Skyark and Skyark Deck Café, discounted member pricing at partner gas stations, 20% off rental fees at any time at SPICY RENTALS Iwatake, an original sticker, and other benefits.

The pass also includes discounts at partner accommodations and dining facilities, a gondola-lift riding privilege for the 2027 green season, 50% off lift tickets at overseas ski resorts owned and operated by Vail Resorts (on presentation of the season pass), discounted day tickets at ski resorts within the group, and discounts on ski and snowboard school lessons — privileges usable at ski resorts and related facilities both in Japan and abroad.

The resort's first-class program, "HAKUBA S-CLASS (VIP Lounge & Priority Pass)," which offers priority gondola boarding and access to an exclusive summit lounge, is also planned to return again this season. Season pass holders will be able to use this service at a special rate on weekdays only.

Non-Skiers Can Also Enjoy a Full Day in the Snow

Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field also offers a range of content for visitors focused on sightseeing rather than skiing, including an observation area, cafés, and a snow outdoor area. Last season, roughly 52,000 people — about 23% of total visitors — came as winter sightseeing visitors and enjoyed the snowy mountain without skiing.

HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR, a café and terrace overlooking the Northern Alps, and the popular Yoohoo! Swing presented by Nyanko Daisensou continue to operate through the winter.

The snow outdoor area IWATAKE WHITE PARK returns again this season with content for sightseeing families, couples, and visitors with dogs, including a photogenic zone where visitors can freely take photos with snow sculptures, a Snow Wall, and kamakura (traditional snow huts), as well as a dog run in the snow where visitors can play with their dogs.
