About the Anime My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia is based on Kohei Horikoshi's hit comic, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and was serialized for ten years in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha). The story is set in a world where about 80% of the population has some kind of superhuman ability known as a "Quirk."
The anime follows Izuku "Deku" Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School as they aim to become heroes who protect people and society from accidents, disasters, and villains who misuse their Quirks — chronicling their growth, battles, and friendships.
