NACHARAL has launched its new "Shizuoka Essence" series, a line of bath products made with organic tea and hinoki cypress grown in the natural surroundings at the foot of Mount Fuji. The lineup includes a shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, and the products are being rolled out as in-bath amenities at hotels and other accommodations.

The Shizuoka Essence series is a bath collection built around Shizuoka-grown tea leaves and other local, natural ingredients. Alongside the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, a hand soap and body cream are also available.

A Shizuoka Bath Time in Three Items
Organic tea and hinoki cypress grown at the foot of Mount Fuji are packed into three items — shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. The scent layers the freshness of hinoki with the herbal brightness of geranium, rosemary, and eucalyptus and the citrus notes of orange, resulting in a refined, clean herbal aroma. Keeping the scent consistent across the line is meant to carry the bathroom experience through from washing hair to finishing a shower. The products use 90% or more naturally derived ingredients and are formulated without silicone, parabens, mineral oil, sulfate-based surfactants, PG, or DPG.

Shizuoka Essence Shampoo
Formulated with Shizuoka-grown tea leaf extract and hinoki oil. The cleansing base centers on amino acid– and betaine-based ingredients for a mild wash that protects the hair's natural moisture while aiming for smooth, tangle-free hair.
Shizuoka Essence Conditioner
Formulated with Shizuoka-grown tea leaf extract along with plant-derived oils including sunflower seed oil, macadamia seed oil, shea butter, and squalane.
It's designed to protect the hair's moisture while smoothing it through to the ends, aiming for a naturally manageable finish even for hair prone to dryness or frizz.
Despite being a silicone-free formula, it aims for smooth, tangle-free hair with a light finish.
Shizuoka Essence Body Soap
Formulated with Shizuoka-grown tea leaf extract and hinoki oil. The cleansing base uses amino acid– and betaine-based ingredients for a mild wash that clears away sweat and oil while protecting the skin's needed moisture and reducing the tight, dry feeling after washing.
Accommodations Offering the Series
The Shizuoka Essence series is being adopted as an in-bath amenity by hotels, ryokan, and other accommodations. Beyond meals and sightseeing, bringing local character into the time guests spend in their rooms turns the stay itself into part of the regional experience.
