Rellionte Co., Ltd. (Nara City, Nara Prefecture; President: Yusuke Kayamori) has announced that the cumulative sales of its confectionery brand "Yamato Karari," newly launched in spring 2025, have exceeded 20,000 boxes. The number of stores carrying the product has expanded to 25 locations.
As a local craft chip brand made from whole Nara agricultural products, it is gaining traction primarily at souvenir shops and hotels within Nara Prefecture. In response to growing demand, online shop sales have also begun.

Product Features
"Yamato Karari" is a craft chip made from Nara Prefecture-grown vegetables and fruits fried using a low-temperature vacuum frying method for a light and crisp texture. By creating a reduced-pressure environment, frying at low temperatures becomes possible, preserving the vivid colors, original flavors, and nutritional value of the ingredients better than conventional frying methods, while achieving a light and airy texture.
The raw materials include Fuyu persimmons from Nishiyoshino, Gojo City, and purple Jerusalem artichokes from Uda City—agricultural products nurtured in Nara. Fresh produce purchased directly from producers is processed from preparation through finishing at the company's own factory in Uda City.
"Nara ingredients, finished in Nara."
These are new confections that bring out the terroir of Nara, born from a commitment to working closely with regional ingredients.

Just as delicious ingredients make delicious dishes, we aim for confectionery processing that brings out the best in the ingredients.
Vegetables and fruits grown in the rich nature of Oku-Yamato possess freshness and vivid colors. The flavor and visual beauty of these ingredients are created through the producers' commitment to soil preparation and cultivation methods.
In developing "Yamato Karari" confections, what we value most is the natural flavor, beauty, and functionality of the ingredients. The brand carefully selects agricultural products nurtured in Nara's climate, including tree-ripened Fuyu persimmons, purple Jerusalem artichokes grown in rich soil and clean water, and Yamato tachibana—considered Japan's oldest citrus fruit. Because the ingredients are so wonderful, no sugar or additives are used, and we strive to express them as naturally as possible. Additionally, as part of our commitment, we use 100% plant-based ingredients with no specified allergens, so people of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy them with peace of mind.

Expanding Distribution at Souvenir Shops, Department Stores, and Hotels in the Prefecture
In the six months since the spring 2025 launch, distribution has expanded at tourist souvenir shops, department stores, Kintetsu Limited Express trains, roadside stations, and hotels centered in Nara Prefecture, with over 25 stores now carrying the products. The main reasons buyers are supporting the brand are the following three points:
The novelty of confections brought about by the ingredients' natural vivid colors, flavors, and functionality, combined with a light texture
Peace of mind that people of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy them safely
Practical year-round availability at room temperature with long shelf life, making them easy to handle as gifts
These three elements have been evaluated highly, leading to expanded adoption across a wide range of retail locations.
Furthermore, recently there have been inquiries and consultations from hotel bars and restaurants both inside and outside the prefecture regarding pairings with wine and other alcoholic beverages, suggesting potential for enjoyment beyond the traditional souvenir category.
Additionally, the series product "Purple Jerusalem Artichoke Chips" has already sold out of its 2025 production, proving popular in stores.

Online Shop Sales Begin in Response to Growing Demand
In response to increasing inquiries from inside and outside the prefecture, online sales of the "Yamato Karari" series have begun. This allows more people to purchase easily regardless of their residential area.
The online shop offers simple packaging for home use as well as gift delivery. It has become more convenient for New Year's gifts and homecoming souvenirs, and can be widely used as year-end gifts to distant family members.

Upcoming Lineup Plans
New products using ingredients such as black edamame and kiwi are scheduled for release in early 2026. Going forward, the brand will continue to expand its seasonal agricultural product series under the philosophy of "making the most of Nara ingredients and finishing them in Nara."
