A kick-off event for Nenrinpic Chōju Tokyo 2028 (ねんりんピックChōju東京2028) will be held at Roppongi Hills in Tokyo on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (a national holiday). The event is titled "Back to 80's! Let's Dance in Roppongi!" (Back to 80's! 六本木でレッツダンス!).
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (東京都) will hold Nenrinpic Tokyo, the 39th National Health and Welfare Festival in Tokyo (第39回全国健康福祉祭東京大会), in November 2028. The kick-off event takes place two years before the festival, with the aim of raising awareness of the festival and building excitement through exchange across generations.
On the day, the venue will present a dance program that recalls the 1980s, the years when the pre-senior and senior generations, the Nenrinpic generation, spent their youth, along with demonstrations of cutting-edge technology such as robots. A DJ will keep the venue lively, and visitors can enjoy a disco together with Papaya Suzuki (パパイヤ鈴木).
