"Monster Hunter Stories" is an RPG where players become "Riders" who form bonds with monsters, raise them, and coexist with them while adventuring through the "Monster Hunter" world. The second entry in the series features a new story of bonds.
Story
In a world where all Rathalos have flown away somewhere, the protagonist, a descendant of the great Rider "Red," meets Ena, a Wyverian girl who entrusts them with an egg. However, the hatched "Rathalos" has black wings just like the legend, appearing as the "Razewing Rathalos" itself.
To uncover the truth behind the abnormalities occurring in the world and the legend, the protagonist weaves a tale of destruction and hope.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: The Twin Dragons of Fate Trial Version Now Available!
The trial version for Monster Hunter Stories 3: The Twin Dragons of Fate, scheduled for release on March 13, 2026 (Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam), is now available. The trial allows players to thoroughly experience the early part of the game, including character customization with Ranger Edit, battle systems, weapon and armor crafting, and Monstie collection and raising—all with the same content as the full version. Trial save data can be transferred to the full version.

Please note that the trial version has only one save slot (the full version has three). The trial version has a level cap (Level 10). Even after reaching the level cap, gameplay is still possible, but experience points will not increase. There are also limits on Trade Points and the number of Monsties you can possess.
To transfer to the full version, you must have save data on the same account and game console that you played the trial version with.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: The Twin Dragons of Fate
Two nations on the path to extinction—Azral and Bulhion. In the midst of an impending apocalypse, a Rathalos, thought to be extinct, is born from an excavated egg. What initially seemed like a glimmer of hope quickly plunges people from hope into despair. The twin Rathalos born are azure-scaled twin dragons, the same as those that were symbols of misfortune during the civil war 200 years ago.
Environmental deterioration progresses, monsters face extinction. The ominous shadow finally appears as signs of war between the two nations. Two nations, twin Rathalos.
