Kyoto Select Shop Niroku (にーろく), Opening in Spring 2027, Holds POP-UP Events in November

Niroku (にーろく), a select shop that Yojiya Group (よーじやグループ), based in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, will open in spring 2027, will hold POP-UP events ahead of its opening. The shop's concept is "a place to meet a Kyoto you have yet to discover," and the POP-UPs let visitors get a first taste of it. The events will be held at Okazaki Park and in front of the Yojiya Shijo Kawaramachi and Yojiya Sagano Arashiyama stores, with some of the items the shop will carry on sale and gelato made with Kyoto ingredients available to sample.

Visitors are welcome to drop by while out enjoying the autumn foliage.

About the Menu at Niroku

Niroku will have a cafe inside the shop, serving mainly menu items that focus on Kyoto ingredients. The menu is designed so that visitors can casually enjoy Kyoto's ingredients and flavors. One example is steamed seiro (せいろ蒸し) that brings out the umami of Kyoto-grown ingredients, served with dressings selected by the staff.

The gelato available to sample at the POP-UPs was co-developed with Goccia by 雫の里農園, a strawberry farm in Kameoka, Kyoto. The lineup uses fruits and vegetables from Kyoto producers and is full of the flavors of the ingredients.

Gelato (Tasting at the POP-UPs)

This is Niroku's original gelato, combining the care of Kyoto producers. Special flavors that are not often found elsewhere are also prepared.

At the POP-UPs, four flavors from the lineup planned for after the opening are available to sample in small bites: milk, hojicha, red shiso, and sweet potato. Samples end as soon as they run out.

About Niroku, a Select Shop Opening in Spring 2027

Niroku is a new venture of Yojiya Group that embodies the company's slogan, "Making Kyoto something everyone enjoys" (みんなが喜ぶ京都にする). The new store will open in spring 2027 in the Okazaki area, where Kyoto locals and tourists mingle. Its concept is "a place to meet a Kyoto you have yet to discover," and its name comes from "26," the number of municipalities in Kyoto Prefecture.

The shop will carry tableware, interior goods, food, and other items that fit into daily life, collected by visiting the 26 municipalities. Rather than simply selling goods, it aims to share the appeal of Kyoto Prefecture together with the thoughts of companies and makers, leading to discoveries of a "new Kyoto" and an "undiscovered Kyoto." The cafe inside also serves as a place to rest during a stroll, with a menu centered on Kyoto ingredients.

Based in Okazaki, Niroku aims to connect Kyoto's goods, companies, and communities with everyone, create new value, and help revitalize Kyoto Prefecture as a whole.

Instagram

Niroku posts its thoughts and concept, the store, and the items it carries from time to time.

The Niroku website is also scheduled to open within this year.
