Hotta Studio's hyperreal urban open-world RPG NTE: Neverness to Everness (NTE) received its latest update, Ver. 1.3 "Return of the Stars on a Misty Moonlit Night," on August 19 (Wednesday).
The update adds new S-rank character 残虹 (voiced by Kikuko Inoue), along with a summer event and swimsuit costumes that arrived on the same day. Players can also take to the water on new vehicles to ride the summer waves.
New Main Story "The Misted Nest Game" Arrives, Final Battle with Scarlet Letter Begins
Avon's group and the three members of E.T.D Squad 6 infiltrate deep into Scarlet Letter's base and step into the anomalous space known as the Misted Nest. There, a cruel game unfolds: participants must fight for final victory under a set of rules. Behind rules that appear fair on the surface, Madame T's true intentions gradually come to light.
New S-Rank Character 残虹 (CV: Kikuko Inoue) Joins the Roster
残虹 is the adopted daughter and bodyguard of Inanna, a member of Scarlet Letter. Her special ability, the "Bewildering Eye," can sense emotions and beguile others, conjuring illusions and creating phantom realms. Though usually gentle, composed, and elegant in manner, she is in truth a decisive, calculating figure who can be dangerous. In battle, she wields an enchanted blade, cutting down opponents without mercy.
The limited board featuring 残虹, "Shadow of an Enthralled Heart," goes live in the Scarborough Market starting August 19, alongside an Arc Board Research Project skin gift event. During the event period, reaching a combined total of 50, 120, or 200 dice rolls on the limited board rewards players with a glider skin, a paint job, and 残虹's costume, "Autumn Rouge."

Corinth Family First-Generation Boss "Nanari" (CV: Ayana Taketatsu) Returns
Following the August 19 version update, S-rank character Nanari (special ability type: Spirit) and the Arc Board Research Project return.
Nanari is a member of the Avon antique shop and the self-proclaimed boss of the Corinth Family, serving as Avon's mainstay. She has a strong sense of justice and an easygoing personality, though she doesn't tend to think things through deeply and can be a bit of a troublemaker.
For city exploration, Nanari can use her skill to climb walls while ignoring gravity.
Summer Event "Summertime" Arrives in Heterocity, Perfect for the Season
Following the August 19 update, various summer content arrives in Heterocity.
First, a new city content mode, Beach Volleyball, is added, letting players team up with other characters to enjoy beach volleyball on hot summer days.
After the update, swimsuit costumes suited for the summer sea also become available for some characters, obtainable through the store or blind boxes.
New vehicles are also added: the jet ski "Tide" and the beach buggy "サウザン," adding more variety to driving life in Heterocity.
New Area "Starlit Dusk Reserve" Opens
Following the August 19 update, a new city map, Starlit Dusk Reserve, opens in Heterocity.
Starlit Dusk Reserve is located in the northwest of Heterocity and has been under construction ever since the Appraiser arrived in the area. Though it appears to be a wide, peaceful mountainous area at first glance, it has become a gathering spot for racing teams chasing speed, with players able to drive their vehicles along its mountain roads.
Other Event Information
Following the August 19 update, a 7-day login bonus begins. Logging in for 7 days during the Ver. 1.3 period rewards players with up to 10 Essence Dice.
