Oden Sumiyoshi Shinsaibashi, a hideaway in Osaka's Shinsaibashi district known for its oden and sake, brings back its hugely popular annual event on August 22, 2026 (Saturday): おでんと旬酒の宴「日本酒の会」. For one day only, the restaurant pairs a nine-course course meal built around seasonal ingredients and rich oden dashi with rare, hard-to-find sake gathered from breweries across the country.
Every dish on the menu has been paired with a specific sake, worked out down to its aroma, flavor, serving temperature, and even how it's poured, so that each course arrives with the sake that suits it best. The event offers a fresh way to experience oden and sake together, one dish at a time.
Nine-Course Tasting Menu
