There's more news for TV anime Oedo Fire Slayer -The Legend of Phoenix-, already drawing strong response across streaming platforms: its original soundtrack begins digital release on August 6, 2026.
The series marks the debut work — and first anime project — of novelist Shogo Imamura, who also wrote the original novel behind Last Samurai Standing, currently streaming on Netflix. The anime's score is composed by Yasuharu Takanashi.
The newly released Oedo Fire Slayer -The Legend of Phoenix- Original Soundtrack collects all 41 tracks used in the series, offering a new way to enjoy its arrangements outside the show itself.
To mark the release, original author Shogo Imamura has shared a comment.
On top of that, volume 6 of the Hikuidori manga goes on sale today.

Edo was, at the time, the most populous city in the world — and yet every building lining its streets was made of wood. The firefighters who took on more than three hundred fires a year were true heroes to ordinary people. Track after track seems to capture Edo's quiet everyday life, the tension of a fire scene, and the burning admiration people felt for these firefighters. These days, I even listen to this soundtrack while writing the original novels.

Introduction
