OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts, a hotel in the heart of Asahikawa, Hokkaido, will hold its "Asahikawa Ski City Declaration" again this winter, from December 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. The program proposes an urban ski trip in which guests enjoy powder snow during the day and return to a city with about 1,500 restaurants and eateries.
In addition to the services offered so far, this year's program adds snowboard rentals, a gear storage service that lasts until the next season, a plan that guarantees a locker at Kamui Ski Links, a Skier Fast Box, and a paid wax service. Together they are designed to support ski stays for everyone from beginners to advanced skiers.

What Is the "Asahikawa Ski City Declaration"?
The hotel sees two patterns in ski trips. The first prioritizes access to the slopes and means staying at a hotel near the ski resort. The second means staying in a city near the ski resorts and enjoying a ski trip that includes city sightseeing. Staying in a city is more affordable than staying at a hotel near the slopes, and the abundance of sightseeing resources makes it easier to enjoy a longer ski trip.
Among such cities, Asahikawa offers access to several ski resorts where guests can enjoy powder snow, and has about 1,500 restaurants and eateries to return to in town. OMO7 Asahikawa considers Asahikawa especially well suited to city-based ski stays, and aims to be a skier- and snowboarder-first destination.
Four Reasons Asahikawa Suits a City Ski Stay
- About 1,500 restaurants and eateries line the city center, offering a rich after-ski food scene
- A wide variety of ski resorts
- Guests can choose the ski resort in the best condition for the day's weather and snow quality
- Plenty of sightseeing options other than skiing for days with bad weather
